Virginia to Invest $10m in Israeli Agritech CompaniesFeb. 24, 2013
Virginia estimates that it will invest up to $10 million in the next 2-3 years in Israeli companies that will participate in the Gateway USA: Agritech program, which is based in the state. The new program follows on the success of the previous incubator at Richmond, in which $10 million was invested in participating Israeli agritech companies.
A delegation from the Virginia Israel Advisory Board (VIAB) is in Israel to interview potential companies.
VIAB helped Strauss Group Ltd. subsidiary Sabra Dipping Company build the largest hummus plant in the US at an investment of $100 million.
