Eight Israeli R&D Centers Collaborated in Israeli IATI WeekathonJun. 30, 2013
Eight Israeli development centers - Microsoft Corporation, General Motors, General Electric, EMC Corporation, Hewlett Packard, Sears Holdings Corporation, Alcatel Lucent, and Texas Instruments - are collaborated on several projects at the IATI Weekathon 2013 Event.
The Weekathon was initiated by the Forum of Multinationals Israeli Development Centers at the Israel Advanced Technology Industries (IATI). Each development center sent 3-5 representatives who were severed from their usual work environment, and placed in a special room provided by Microsoft Israel. Microsoft Israel R&D center general manager Yoram Yaacovi serves as chairman of the forum.
IATI CEO, Karin Mayer Rubinstein, said, "Response to the project was huge, and we hope to turn this into a tradition to allow as many companies as possible to participate."
