Startup Staium: Who Enjoys the Israeli Exits Celebraion?Dec. 5, 2013
Izhar Shay, General Partner in Canaan Ventures, asks in his blog (published also as a Globes column), Startup Stadium, why Israeli institutional investors are excluded from being invested in local high-tech ventures. As this year's high-tech exits have already reached $2.2 billion, it's mainly foreign institutional investors who enjoy the returns, because of ambivalent Government policy.
Yoav Chelouche and Benny Zeevi, IATI's Co-Chairmen, are cited in the post, expressing their concern that Israeli investments in High-tech might cease because of Ministry of Finance.
