BVP began investing in Israel in 1992 with an investment in DSP Group (DSPG), recognizing that innovation knows no borders. Far away from the world’s largest markets, Israeli start-ups must be global from inception, making them a good match for global fund like BVP’s. Since opening an office in Herzliya Pituach in 2007, BVP has invested more than $200M in more than 20 Israeli start-ups across multiples sectors including Consumer Web, SaaS, Data Center Infrastructure and Telecom. BVP is stage agnostic and typically invests between $3M to $20M in a company’s financing. BVP successes to date include Israeli companies such as Wix (WIX), Mellanox (MLNX), Intucell (Cisco), Cyota (RSA/EMC), Traffix (F5), Storwize (IBM), Soluto (Asurion) and ART (Scansoft).
With a global track record of more than 109 IPOs and more than 150 M&A transactions, BVP brings value to our portfolio. Investments made in Israeli companies are part of a single, global BVP fund, and enjoy the same resources, expertise, and network connections as the rest of the BVP portfolio. Beyond providing capital, BVP works with entrepreneurs to attract and recruit talent, devise and refine strategy, and provide helpful feedback, information, and contacts.
