Asian Countries Have Major Presence in Upcoming Tel Aviv MIXiii Conference
May. 19, 2014
Asian countries are growing more and more interested in Israel’s high-tech industry and “start-up nation” mantra. Nowhere is that more evident than in the Jewish state’s upcoming Tel Aviv MIXiii 2014 conference, to be held next week.
A 300-member Chinese delegation will be attending the conference and will include the Chinese ministers of science, education, and health, as well as a Chinese vice foreign minister, reports Haaretz.
“This is a great time in the technology world, and Israel has a backlog of companies to invest in, so we are attracting executives from around the world who want to join in the celebration,” said Yoav Chelouche, joint chairman of the conference and of its sponsoring organization, the Israel Advanced Technology Industries Association.
In addition, about 30 Indian companies will be exhibiting at the conference in a special Indian Pavilion.
